The GWA Chamber of Commerce sponsored a business networking event on May 5, 2025 at the Genesee Country Village & Museum that was focused on the use of social media in business with invited speaker Camille Zess, Vice President of Growth at Travel Alliance Partnership. All local business owners and leaders were invited to join GWA Chamber members at this event.
Social media has provided the opportunity to fundamentally
change the way businesses connect with their intended

audience, becoming an important tool that can help build brand awareness, engage with customers and drive sales.
As part of her presentation, Camille Zess provided an informative top ten list of marketing tips that can help promote successful business use of social media:
Keep it simple (one focus per post, and get to the point)
Make it visual (thumb-stopping, hi-res images)
Embrace video content
Know your audience
Have a call to action
Monitor your channels regularly
Engage whenever possible
Be flexible (deviate from the plan as needed)
Watch for platform changes
Have fun!
